Patricia Franchi Flaherty embarked on what would become one of her life’s most important missions nearly five years ago. Today, what was once her dream, has transformed into a closely-knit organization of survivors and supporters seeking to change the face of ovarian cancer.
Among the organization’s many initiatives, Sabre is proud to have played its part in the spread of awareness for Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer, particularly, by designing and managing their website. There, visitors are welcome to learn more about ovarian cancer awareness, treatment and patient programs. The site also serves as a tool for supporters to assist in the battle against ovarian cancer, view upcoming events and read inspirational stories.
From the moment the website was first aired in July of 2007, well over 500,000 viewers from over 181 countries around the world have visited. Currently, the site is receiving nearly 35,000 visitors per month! And while the number of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer annually is 22,000—knowing that the number of people who care far surpasses that statistic; proves that together we are making a change.
